Henry~ 6 weeks

This past weekend I got to meet Henry. Henry is such a cutie, and I knew we would have a good time together because he flashed a big smile at me when i started taking pictures of him. He was six weeks old this week. His parent’s, Josh & Jill were great hosts, and love their little man to pieces; it is easy to see why.

Meet Henry:

Henry1This is just one of Jill’s great picture ideas. I couldn’t get over the perfect cookies her mom made. And they taste as good as they look! Jill, can you share the name of the bakery in Milford where you can get your mom’s cookies? I might have to make a special trip!

henry11Josh & Jill’s good friends Kurt & Stefanie, gave this photo shoot as a gift to them. What a great idea, right?! I love that they wanted to give the gift of photos. Josh & Jill, thank you so much for having me in your home. I loved Henry’s nursery, the boston terrier decor and all of the great photo ideas. Henry is perfect! I’m looking forward to seeing him again.

Kensey~6 months

On Sunday, I met up with the Kreger’s to take pictures of Kensey. Kensey is 6 months old now, and it is amazing how much she has grown. She is so strong, and is constantly trying to stand up, and push herself around. You can tell she will be crawling in no time.  One thing that hasn’t changed is her beautiful blue eyes. Her mom, Amanda, did a great job picking out outfits. The contrast of her blue eyes and this red dress was awesome. Check it out:

Kensey:

kensey2I love how fun this photo is. I feel like she is saying “Angie, what are you going to do if I stick this lightbulb in my mouth?!” haha

kensey5I love her little outfit here. Kensey loved the boots, and she was right, they totally make the outfit.:)

kensey6Beautiful:

kensey7I’m pretty sure Mike & Amanda are investing in some baskets. Kensey was having fun sitting in all of them.

kensey8This would make a beautiful Christmas card:

kensey9Amanda & Mike~ Thank you so much for inviting me over to take pictures of Kensey. She is so much fun! I think she was happy the whole time I was there. You guys have a beautiful family, and I hope to see you again soon!

The Lytle Family

After having a fun morning with Eric & Stacy, we headed over to the Lytle household in Pinckney.  Stacy wanted to get some family pictures, and when they said they were all in (even her brother John:)reluctantly agreed), we planned to get together. I was disappointed that it started raining, but we managed to get some great shots inside their home.  You can tell this family has fun when they are together; there was lots of laughter and the grandchildren Joel & Gabe are very entertaining.  I hope to get together with these guys sometime in the spring or summer so that we can take some pictures around their dock and lake in the backyard.

Meet the Lytle family:

Eric & Stacy~ Couple session

I have been excited about photographing these two since I got my new camera. Here’s why: they make each other laugh A LOT, they look at each other sincerely, they’re humble, they smile with their eyes, and they are up for anything.

Eric & Stacy have always been supportive of me. Just one example of this, is when they called me about 15 minutes after the launch of my blog to congratulate me. This may be because they are almost as addicted to the internet as I am, but more importantly they understood the risk, time, and love I had put into becoming a photographer.  I am seriously so lucky to have family & friends like that.  It truly is the little things, you know?

I love when a couple takes the opportunity to be photographed on an ordinary day. Wedding photos are always great, but it is awesome when you can see the depth of love in a couple who has been married for awhile. I think you’ll see what I’m talking about;)

This is part one of my day with Eric & Stacy. After taking some pictures in Brighton, we headed over to Stacy’s parent’s home for some LYTLE family pictures, which you can look forward to tomorrow!

E-DOG & Stacy, Thanks for hangin’ with me on Sunday. I absolutely love these photos of you two!

Ang – Thank you for the great photos. You have an awesome talent. What I love most is your motivation. When we have talked about where you would like this to lead…you always mention taking photos of people in homeless shelters or halfway homes or bringing attention to injustices. Its never been about making money, or winning a prize or getting published in a magazine. Photography is one of your awesome talents….your gift is you compassionate heart. Keep shining your light! I’m expecting God’s best.
